Une histoire de la représentation du musicien par la caricature
The Actes Sud/Palazzetto Bru Zane collection — co-authored books, musicological essays, conference proceedings or archive documents — gives the floor to key actors and witnesses in the artistic history of the 19th century, as well as their present-day critics. Published at the rate of two to four books each season, the collection will examine many aspects of the French Romantic répertoire and the musical life of this period, focusing on the careers of famous or neglected composers as well as the history of the concert, musical genres and performers.
Agrégé d’histoire-géographie, docteur en musicologie, Stéphane Leteuré est l’auteur de deux ouvrages sur Camille Saint-Saëns. Il a étudié la dimension politique de l’action du compositeur, la géopolitique de ses voyages, son intérêt pour les sciences et poursuit ses travaux sur la représentation du musicien et la réception de son oeuvre. Chercheur associé à l’EHESS (laboratoire Georg Simmel), professeur en classe préparatoire, il a participé à plusieurs colloques internationaux et ouvrages collectifs consacrés au compositeur.
