Berlioz, Hector
Composer, conductor, writer and man of letters, Hector Berlioz (1803-1869) was regarded as one of the leading representatives of French Romantic music. His best-known work is probably the Symphonie Fantastique, composed in 1830. Other famous works include Benvenuto Cellini, Roméo et Juliette and La Damnation de Faust.
