Salle Bourgie, Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, Montréal
Immerse yourself in the world of the salons of the Belle Époque, where artists and poets would gather to discuss their country’s artistic, social and cultural life. Providing a forum for meetings and exchanges, the French salons had a major influence on musical practices at the turn of the century, and also on the career of Gabriel Fauré. This talk (in French) will be followed at 7.30pm by the concert entitled Maître Fauré.
