The nineteenth century’s enthusiasm for the cello is also evident in the transcriptions that were made at that time, as well as in the pieces that were composed for unusual ensembles. An opportunity to appreciate all the colours of this instrument, expertly played by the soloists of the Munich Radio Orchestra.
