La Sérénade
A one-act opéra-comique, based on the play of the same name by Jean-François Regnard, composed jointly by Sophie Gail and Manuel García and premièred at the Opéra-Comique (Salle Feydeau) on 2 April 1818.
Opera

True to her predilection for the age of Louis XIV, Sophie Gail joined forces with her near namesake, the writer Sophie Gay, at the beginning of the Restoration, to adapt Jean-François Regnard’s La Sérénade (1694) for the opera stage.
