Once a concert cycle has ended, the Palazzetto Bru Zane does not abandon the theme or the musical figure it has highlighted. The celebration of Jules Massenet in autumn 2022 (“Massenet, a must!”) continues this season with a concert version of Roma, the last of his operas premiered during his lifetime, which opened in February 1912. Similarly, the cycle “Reynaldo Hahn, from the Belle Époque to the Années Folles” (autumn 2019) is complemented by the programming of the composer’s La Carmélite at Müpa Budapest (30 April 2027). Mireille – staged in Lausanne in October 2026 – is one of the Centre’s many initiatives promoting the works of the author of Faust and Le Tribut de Zamora, Charles Gounod. A recording of Lancelot, performed at the Prinzregententheater in Munich in January 2027, continues an interest in Victorin Joncières that began in 2013 with the recording of his opera Dimitri. Will the production of Auguste Mermet’s Roland à Roncevaux in Saint-Étienne in March 2027 open up a new path to follow over the coming seasons?
