As well as organising its two annual thematic cycles, the Palazzetto Bru Zane has been developing an ever-expanding network of collaborations. Louise, Gustave Charpentier’s triumphant naturalist “roman musical”, is scheduled for performance in Aix-en-Provence and Lyon. After Rouen, Versailles, Hong Kong and Hanoi, the historically informed staging of Carmen will be travelling to Dallas. Presented in a concert version in Munich early in 2025, Clémence de Grandval’s Mazeppa will be staged this season at the opera house in Dortmund. La Montagne noire by Augusta Holmès will be recorded in the Auditorium of the Opéra National in Bordeaux. The collaboration with the Hungarian Philharmonic continues with Jean de Nivelle by Léo Delibes (later to be issued in the form of a CD-book). The sacred repertoire will be represented by Jules Massenet’s oratorio La Terre promise, performed in Palermo. Finally, tenor Julien Henric, with the Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by György Vashegyi (also a specialist in this repertoire), will be presenting a recital of operatic arias by Bizet, Olagnier, Gounod, Massenet and Godard.
