In collaboration with various partners, the Palazzetto Bru Zane will be presenting, for the sixth season running, a series of concerts in Canada. Together with Les Violons du Roy, the Domaine Forget de Charlevoix Chamber Orchestra and singers will be performing excerpts from Hervé’s Le Petit Faust, in a concert that is part of the Folies parisiennes cycle. The Domaine Forget International Festival will also include two performances of works by Louise Farrenc, as well as showcasing the French Romantic repertoire in another five events. In November, as part of a new collaboration with the Festival Le Baptême in Chicoutimi, a concert will be devoted to the piano music of Cécile Chaminade and Mel Bonis, and with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lucie Leguay, Véronique Gens will be giving a programme of Romantic mélodies. Finally, Bourgie Hall at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will be hosting recitals, in December (violin) and May (piano).
