As well as presenting Wit and playfulness, a programme of songs by Hervé and his peers, the partnership this year with the Académie-Festival des Arcs also focuses on a figure who was active in Paris a few decades earlier: Louise Farrenc. Her compositions will be performed alongside other rarities, such as the Suite sylvestre for four cellos by another woman composer, Frédérique de Faye-Jozin.
