Summer improvisations

Concert Palazzetto Bru Zane

Palazzetto Bru Zane, Venice
The Quai des Brumes Trio is currently exploring the repertoire of French art songs from the Belle Époque (late nineteenth and early twentieth century) in a “gypsy jazz” style (Fauré, Chaminade, Ravel, Debussy, Satie, Hahn, etc.). The “gypsy” sounds are combined here with the string quartet — the musicians of the AMF String Quartet from Ferrara. This association opens up new perspectives by highlighting the melodic richness of the works, as well as the numerous possibilities they offer in terms of composition. A fertile ground for improvisation and impromptu developments so dear to these musicians whose background is jazz.
